It's Showtime
Having created these works under the same roof and for the most part in the same room, you would think it would be easy to put a grouping together for a show. There would surely be obvious connections, whether it be color or subject, right? Truthfully it was a challenge selecting the right works for this joint show.
We had been talking for quite some time about doing a joint exhibition. We discussed approaching established galleries, looked into short term leases for a pop-up gallery, talked with existing businesses about using their available wall space, and considered opening up our home for a show. Taking it all in, we really just wanted a well hung show. We wanted to get people in to see the work and to keep the costs down. Having recently acquired the space with empty empty walls suited perfectly for a decent sized show, we decided to partner up with Michael Cavotta Studios for a short term exhibition.
